The new IONIQ 5 has debuted in the US with more range and a new XRT trim for off roading adventure.
This is also Hyundai’s first EV to have a built-in NACS port, but since Tesla has been a bit slow for Hyundai to join the Supercharger network, its customers can’t use its over 17k and building chargers yet. This problem, (for now), will be combatted by a CCS port adapter.
Hyundai increased range due to the slightly bigger battery backs. 63 kwh’s for the standard range and 84. kwh for the long-range option.
It has a new cleanup interior with new dual 12.3-inch instrument clusters/infotainment like the new EV6 (FACELIFT) and the EV9. It used to have 12.0-inch displays in the 2024 and before verisons.
IONIQ 5 started production in Georgia in 2021. This new refresh/facelift will be built in Hyundai’s new Metaplant along with the yet to be revealed IONIQ 9.
