IONIQ 9 unveiled ahead of global premiere

The IONIQ 9 has many shared features with the Kia EV9, and has more range and power. Hyundai IONIQ 9 has been teasing their 3-row EV for a couple of weeks now. I thought they would unveil it tomorrow, but they did it today.

The RWD trim will have 335 miles of range while the other AWD trims will have at least 300 miles of range. Watch out for more specifications and pricing tomorrow during the LA Auto Show!!

This is a luxurious 3 row as is the KIA EV9. It has leg rests, just like the EV9, just as I predicted and can seat up to 7 people. It has a unique rear design with LED lights that wrap around the rear like a light bar.

Technology has been improved on and has a curved screen with optional digital rearview mirrors, which I think will be available in the US. You can also recline in the third row just like the EV9.

The whole design and theme revolve around pixel lights throughout the exterior. This is 2026 model and will be available in Spring 2025.

One more big thing is that it will come with a NACS port accessing the Tesla Supercharging network. I am hopeful it will take 20 minutes, or so to charge just like the refreshed IONIQ 5 does. The EV9 does 10%-80% in 24 minutes on a CCS plug.
