The warming of earth extends the period allergy season, makes it more intense, and is now more widespread. Here is why:

Pollen producing plants now have more time to grow thanks to global warming. In addition, as there is more C02, or carbon dioxide, there is an increase in pollen production in many plants.

Air pollution affects allergies significantly as it makes air quality worse. In many cities, people have to wear masks just to go outside, especially in big cities. There is now also increased allergen reactivity making it more potent. Pollutants can attach to pollen grains making them easier to inhale.
